Can someone explain to me what has gotten into the ass of the voices of the Republican party? I know, I know, there are plenty of Republicans that aren’t as opposed to the new administration and even if they are, they know that we have to unify as Americans to make things work for all of us but, let’s face it you are not being heard. I mean, where are you? I know you’re out there.
There are plenty of mixed feelings, on both sides of the fence about our Presidents most recent trip to Cairo and how he addressed the Muslim community. I believe that this was, by far, the ballsiest move by any President at least in my history. I mean to reach out to the Muslim community the way he did. That took cojones man! And it’s all in the name of peace!
He pretty much laid all the cards on the table when it comes to promulgating the peace across all the Middle Eastern countries. He announced that he favors a two-state solution and he acknowledged that Jewish settlements across the Palestinian West Bank are illegal. He even went so far as to call out Hamas and let them know that they too have a responsibility in bringing peace to the region.
I know of at least one news network that isn’t too happy about this and is pretty much, like always, placing their spin on things (who are we kidding, you know which network I’m talking about, the self-proclaimed voice of the Republican party). They mean to strike fear in the hearts of every last American citizen. How are we supposed to come together as a country when we have this…this…elephant sized monkey hanging on our shoulders and whispering evil nothing in our ears every time Obama farts.
In my sad little opinion, the Repubs and Conservatives need to stop crying and get with the program. Obama is going to be here for at least another four years (eight years…shhhhh). Are they just going to continue undermining the integrity of this country by publicly denouncing every decision that this administration makes or are they going to put their differences aside and do what they can to help uplift this country for our own sake and the sake of the world.
